One to One

Practising yoga in a targeted therapeutic way can help you to reach and maintain your optimum physical, emotional, mental & spiritual wellbeing.

My primary goal as a yoga therapist is to work alongside you to help you instigate behavioural change, overcome obstacles and balance your system in a manageable way in order to reduce suffering.

Your initial session will help me determine how to proceed with your personal yoga practice. You can expect this appointment to last 75-90 minutes.

During this session I will conduct an intake interview with you and discuss the physical & emotional goals you wish to work towards. I will conduct personalised therapeutic breath and postural assessments. This initial session will also serve to help you to identify if this relationship feels right.

My goal is to provide a trusted reference outside of yourself to empower you to reach your wellbeing goals.

I can highly recommend Ella and her yoga therapy. Having never tried anything like this before and having several complex issues I have found this to be extremely beneficial both mentally and physically and can already see and feel a big difference after just a few weeks.

Having one to one sessions and a programme tailored to your specific needs and limitations is fantastic. During your second session we will go through your bespoke practice together adapting and modifying as needed until you feel comfortable with it.

Practices given will be individual and may include the gentlest of movements, a vigorous routine (or no movement at all!), a breathing technique, a meditation, a mindfulness practice, lifestyle recommendations or a combination of these tools.

Subsequent sessions will generally last 30-60 minutes and it is entirely up to you, how often we meet. 

A minimum of 3 sessions (including intake) are recommended to fully embed your practice and instigate behavioural change.

Sessions are held in my garden studio located in West Monkseaton. If you have restricted mobility or use a wheelchair, I am happy to travel to you for our sessions. I also offer Zoom sessions if you are not local to the area.
